XF 1.4 Should I merge the changes?

Hi, when you get a list of outdated templates like below whats the best thing to do? Merge the changes, revert the templates or just leave it like that? Thanks.

You need to resolve them otherwise there will be issues or errors.
You can't leave them as outdated.

Merge if you can, otherwise revert and reapply your edits.

If it's a third party style, you should get an updated version from the designer.

It's a third party style. There were times when I inquired about this before, and the theme developer tells me to just merge them. Does that happen because the theme developer has not updated the theme? Should I hold of merging and wait for the theme upgrade? Thanks.

Ideally you should install an updated style which is compatible with the version of XenForo (+ add-ons) you are running.

Otherwise you may be OK to merge but I wouldn't really be able to say whether that would cause any issues.
