Shopping lists..

I never forget ...
Oh how I wish I could say that. In my teens thru my 30's I had what is called a photographic memory. Perfect.
Example: I could hear a song on the radio, and sing it verbatim afterwards. I could play the same song on my guitar from memory.

I must have over-used it. My memory is now shorter than my pinky finger. :(

My formerly brilliant short term memory is also shot Peggy, I have to use a list now, although I predictably forget the list most of the time >_<

That would be phonetic :P.

I have photographic and phonetic, and don't really have problems with them... My short term memory is -horrible- however. I'll be walking to the bathroom, forget what I was doing, and then need to run back... On a daily basis.

The interns at work laugh at it

It's when you start making a list about your lists that you know you have a problem ;)
...I make a list containing subjects of other lists, and then a list of details concerning the subject of the list... And sometimes a list of details concerning details of the details list.

But by god, I'm completely thorough :D

LOL yeah, dunno about you, but sadly I think it is a parenthood/aging thing - we have to remember so much as a parent that all our own stuff goes out the window.
I think you're right. SO much changed when I had my son. And even more changed when he was diagnosed. Of course, none of it has to do with the fact that I'm getting old.

You're completely nutty too! lol

White boards seem like a good idea. I should invest!
We tried white boards...til the dry erasers died on us. They're still a pretty good idea for stuff we need to do like make phone calls/appts/etc.

Shopping lists....there's an app for that.

Now that I have an iPhone, I'm using it for my grocery shopping list. I go NOWHERE without my phone.

You ladies know what I'm talkin' about.

I ended up buying WAAYYY more than I could carry, ended up struggling and really hurting my hands, hehe. But eh, wont be needing much for a while :)

We do online shopping so all previous purchases are saved in our account for easy reselection.

Other than that I make lists for absolutely everything.

I like the idea of online shopping, save what you buy, for easy purchase again. Sounds so efficient :D

I make lists on paper at the moment... a whiteboard or a /list/ on my homepage is a nice idea... much more eco-friendly ;)

Lists, physical piece of paper in my hand is much more accessible while i'm in the store than using my phones wifi to access an online list.

Oh, I know what you are talking about (nods head up and down >.>)
you make me laugh honestly Floris not just a lol, i can picture you saying it and actually laugh when reading your post aloud. Thank you I was frowning before this.

On the off-topic topic
I use whiteboards for quick notes like a temp password or something on the computer but a shopping item might end up on there... post it notes work until the glue dries... I'm a big fan of corkboard though.. you cut it to the size you need and frame it in some 3 inch wide pine stripes and stain or paint to your liking ( or buy one if you have a shopping list already write cork-board on) This way you can jot a note on any paper and just pin it up, rip it out when you need it.
