Server error, please try again later

Hi all,

For some unexplainable reason I got logged out of my forum and when I try logging back in I get the message "server error, please try again later."

The page is frozen at that error page and no matter what tabs I click, I can't move away from the error page.

Does anyone have an idea of what this could be related to (my other domains, that share the same server, are up and running fine)?

no, not at all. That's funny. I was hoping by redirecting the spammer to a success page which is really just a reporting agency that takes spammer complaints, it would scare them away. lol

I did run Spybot Search and Destroy and here is what came up:

I just copied and pasted the IP addresses onto a Word document and the document takes up 22 page for September through today. Ouch. So I won't be pasting it here (or I might get banned by XF).

Oh, and I added the IPs, there are 1056 different IP addresses from which my personal account supposedly logged into my account (in a period of 3.5 months).

I've found that banning IPs is not very helpful. You're fighting a losing battle there.

Blueprint4Love, I would suggest you add at least 2 or three Q&A questions to help keep the registrations down. That has worked for me in the recent past.
With my add-on, I'd actually be comfortable not having a captcha...

Not going to try it :p But I'd be comfortable with it.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. I have two personalized captcha questions and they are both checked and active. However, when I log out and try to create an account it only asks me one of the questions.

My current online user account is down to 7 new people trying to register right now. That's huge when over the past couple of months I had dozens trying to get in at any given time. Thanks for your add-on, Chris. Truly a must have!

That is normal. The user is only asked one of the Q&A questions (from the pool of all your questions) during the user creation process.

If your questions use simple math ("What is 2 plus two?"), then I would suggest changing them, since many bots (specifically Xrumer) are known to be able to solve those kinds of questions.
