XF 1.4 "See" Master value modifications?

There are some occasions where I may have, by mistake, altered the master values of both templates and phrases, instead of the child.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Master values should remain unchanged, while the child and siblings be altered.

Is there any way to check which master values were changed? I realise I can use the Rebuild Master Data tool, but then I may, potentially, be left with a very different style (or very different phrases).

Again, I probably haven't accidentally changed master values too often, but I wanted a way to check.

(My plan is to rebuild master data anyway, once I can confirm there wouldn't be unexpected changes.)

Rebuilding the master data won't affect any changes to public languages or styles you have made.

It just resets the master (o) data.

    Okay, that makes sense.

I've just thought, if I were to modify a Master template instead of the child (default) style, would I then get alerted that there were 'Outdated templates'?

No, as the template version would have to change to trigger that.
