As designed "Search titles only" not working?

As you can see, it pulls up thread titles where "trending" is not present.

It is a tad invisible but we add the thread tags into the title field when we index the content so that’s what it’s picking up.

We’ve always done this since the start of XF 1.5 btw.



It does tend to improve the search result relevancy.

That makes sense, although it doesn't seem evident from the search results as listed. That probably explains why it seems to "work" on our forums better--we don't enable tags except for staff, as we had too much abuse with tags in the past. So, that is why our search results tend to show thread title matches. (And actually, misuse of the thread tagging can also skew search results, especially the way some of our members were using them.)
