Is it possible to select the number of threads that the importer can create from an RSS feed?

Take a look at @Snog's RSS Feed filter add-on, you can specify the quantity that is imported at a single time. The result is, for example, you could specify something like importing a feed every 24 hours but limit it to just one post at a time resulting in a maximum of one new automated post a day.
