This seems to be where web development is going in this area.

Are there any suggestions from XenForo employees on how to integrate some of the very basic stuff into the templates at this time, and is this something viewed as a priority for XF?

Indeed. More or less I am talking about Google's schema.org initiative and their desire to seemingly describe every page, what it is about, how it compares to some .org relational database somewhere on the Internet, and also to identify who everyone is as an author with these tags. They want the content tagged of every message, and so forth. It seems a bit draconian, but it seems to get bloggers far on the search engine rankings.
