It would require reworking the current template modifications in the add-on. Not something I am able to get into at the moment but possibly can update later with some options.

Most add-ons will be fine, there shouldn't be a need to ask in advance.

That really isn't anything to do with this add-on. Try asking in the Media Gallery support.
