XF 2.0 Removed add-ons still show up in add-ons to install list

What is the point? I've removed the add-on. I don't want to see it in the add-ons section anymore. Why do I have to delete its files manually?

Same as XF1 - you have to remove the files if you have no intention of reinstalling.

Because if XF2 could delete arbitrary files on your server, that would be a gigantic security hole. See WordPress.
