We recently encountered a problem that started under vB, and may continue after we converted to XF.
A habitual rule violator contested his banning because he claims he was never notified that he had violated our rules. And he's been reinstated based on the "fact" that he was "never notified" because he didn't see the messages. He hadn't even looked at his PM's for quite a while. And might not have received SOME of them because he blocked PM's from other users for at least part of the time in question. His block MIGHT have blocked PM's from moderators (we're not sure) but PM's from Admins SHOULD have bypassed his block.
Is there a way to force a read receipt to insure that a user has at least seen the PM's/Conversations/violation notices? I haven't found anything in the AdminCP to allow or force that.
