Rant about WordPress

I want to add a blog to my forum, so what is the best way to go about doing that? Thanks
I recommend User Blog System from https://xenaddons.com/
This does appear to be the best option to go with Xenforo, will be purchasing soon.

Thanks
I agree. @Bob's UBS (blog) and AMS (articles) addons are amazing products. One less software to run on your site, no bridges to rely on to sync accounts, etc.

I highly recommend checking out his other addons, too!

There's also @Xon's BBCode Pages addon that allows you to build pages with BBCode instead of HTML code.

So how do your purchase the AMS addon? I registered to the website, sent Bob all my credentials and haven't heard anything back. Been about a week now and haven't heard a word. Is this how it works?

That's the only way that I know of. The addons are well worth the wait, IMO. They are well designed, very in-depth settings and functions.

User Blogs System (UBS) is not Article Management System (AMS). They are 2 different addons that have a radically different architecture. The only place to purchase a license for any of my addons is in the products section at https://xenaddons.com/

If you want to discuss differences, simply start a DM with me :)

I registered to the website
There is no user with the username MQK8 registered at XenAddons.com. One of the registration requirements is registering with your XF username. If you did not followed instructions and registered with another username, contact me via DM and let me know so that I can change the username and approve your account :)

You started a DM here with me 1 hour ago, not about a week ago! It's also a saturday, you can't expect me to be instantly available during the weekends. I'll reply to your DM after replying to this.

I've only received one DM from you and it's from today.

Bob, appologies for replying here but I don't seem to have direct DM access on XenForo.com, perhaps my account is too new.

I'm very interested in several of your plugins, including Article Management System Premium, however the only info I can find is very slim on details about features or capabilities. Is there a better resource that lists the full feature list with screenshots and a possible demo of the admin side?

Thanks

Just sent you a DM ;)

Well it used to be before Gutenberg blocks.
Agreed.

Setting up the structure of a site is easy, but for a creator who wants to type into a text editor that resembles a word processor (as I do), it's a trainwreck.

The fact that they piled all the Gluttonberg code all over their ancient codebase also doesn't sit well with me.

Thing is, I still have yet to find a blog system that is as drag-and-drop friendly as what we have here in XenForo. With the right plugins, WordPress can come close. Again, I'm talking from a creator standpoint. I need to write and not be distracted by the technology, and the original way of doing it with a text editor is the best way possible. Gutenberg has a mind of its own--click in the wrong place and the whole page is ruined.

For another couple of projects, I may eventually end up using XF, using the addon that makes replies look like blog comments. It's a lot less work IMHO to get a couple of addons and make some template changes to do what I want in XF, vs. dealing with the moving target that is WordPress.

Interesting. I write a lot (and my articles are often quite long), and I find it easier to do it with Gutenberg (at lest the current, matured version of it).

Im still using Elementor, but really should be using Gutenberg here and there or maybe move to Bricks. Gutenberg is improving very slowly.
I like the new product editor in Woocommerce. (beta)
