This works great, and I really like this, it has improved productivity quite a bit and other admins can participate in the conversation before we contact the user again.

That said, what we miss is the IP of the user, if that's possible in some way that would be great.
Spam gets through and we notice the pattern, but if we can block the IP that would prevent the user from accessing any of the 65 sites on the server in 1 go (iptables, ftw)

*************UPDATE***************
Changehistory
1.3.0
Including IP in the message
Using a phrase for the thread.
If you want, you can customize it (Phrasename: ragtek_contactthread_message )

Excellent work, while not much, a donation has been made. Yay for IP support.

I think I'm going to try integrating this into my site right now, I can use it as a replacement for EasyForms, just have it submit to an email and then submit that on to a thread. :)

Here's how it looks on http://xenfans.com right now.

It's not perfect, but it's a start, and I am looking forward to figuring out how I can pre-populate the input fields in the admin area ..

Ragtek, if the user is registered, could you also include {userid} besides {username}? That way doing Internal profiles and a few others ..

If I enable this modules I got the message delivered to the specified forum but not email is send. The state of Send Mail checkmark do not matter. If I disable this modules I got email send - but of cause not message in forum...

Where to fix to get both message in forum and email.. Using 1.30 version..

Have you checked the options?
There's a option if the mail should be sent, after the thread has been created

Sorry for my bad english - that was what I try in this -> The state of Send Mail checkmark do not matter <- expression.. Have tried both with and without checkmark.. Same thing - no email send - only if I disabled your module I got email send..

I seem to have stumbled on a little bug, but not sure if it has to do with this mod or another (Latest Thread)

But it doesnt seem to respect the permissions in conjunction with this mod..

Hi Von,
I just tried to view a new thread which I think was called "working together" or something along those lines and this is what I got:

Doberman Chat Forum: Talk About Doberman Pinschers - Error
You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action.

The person who posted the quoted text posted that in the Site Feedback and Support forum.. The message in question was a contact us thread inside the admin forum.. Which the Contact Us mod does not have access to. So my members can all see the contact us thread starter and the title.. But since its a private forum cannot read the content, but its still kind of a show stopper.

Is it this add-on: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/tenshi-latest-thread-sidebar.7533/ ?

If yes => http://xenforo.com/community/threads/ragtek-contact-thread.5521/page-2#post-112285

The latest thread sidebar doesn't check the user permissions :(

I used Google Apps to handle mail with xenfans.com, and I no longer need it. Incidentally someone manually emails to the address, everything else ends up as 'tickets' in our admin > tickets forum. From where we can mail the users, PC the registered member, and prepare statements and responses to them, discuss it with the team, etc .. and have a status update for [open] [resolved] [rejected], etc.

I can't wait for a future version where the moderator_bar shows Contacts: 1
linking to a section ALIKE reported posts, where they're even better to manage :)

Yes but it does disallow forums, and of course the contact us threads are posted to one of those disallowed forums
As i mentioned im not sure if its a discrepancy with this mod or the other, But i can say that the only threads showing up in the Latest thread mod are respecting the disallowed forums other then threads that are started by this plugin.

For example...
If i create a thread in the admin forum. That thread wont show up in the Latest Thread mod. (because its in a disallowed forum)
But if a member uses the contact us form and it is auto posted in my admin forum, that email title shows in that mod. (even if members cant read the content)

After installation and configuration, I get the following error when submitting my contact form:

The following error occurred

The server responded with an error. The error message is in the JavaScript console.

I'm running

CentOS release 5.5 (Final)

I'm sure this probably something stupid I'm doing or something I haven't configured on my server, but any help is appreciated. Thanks!

No errors in server error log.

And what error did you get? Have you checked your console?*g*
