Just an observation in Quick Thread...

Box (1) & (2) have rounded corners with visible borders, which is consistent with the entire theme.

Box (3) has no rounded corners. Only top-border is visible, rest of the box has no borders...

3 isn't a 'box'.

It's essentially the 'footer' for the form and extends the full width at the narrowest view.

This would look better:

If click the orange [Post thread] button on the top-right... the next screen has the same footer with rounded corners and visible borders... looks consistent with the overall design.

It's not that footer that has the rounded borders and visible borders. It's the wrapper.

Ya that's the top border that we already know about. That's the only border it has.

zoom it in your browser and check it out for yourself... there are two borders ... one is light at the top and a darker at the bottom aligned closely... the attached image is a little blurry...

Yes because this section also has a border-bottom:

With the footer having a "border-top", and that section having a "border-bottom" there are two lines there instead of one.

While it might seem like nitpicking for you, this is a technical detail of importance. Borders are assigned to elements, and when you're trying to get rid of them, you could spend ages when you're trying at the wrong place. There's also the difference between borders, box-shadows (which can also appear to be borders) and outlines, but that's just another layer of details.
