[Question] What happens when everyone leaves a Personal Conversation?

When you leave a PC it is removed from your list of PC's. But what if everyone in that conversation leaves it, does it still exist then? If so, can administrators still view it?

I ask this because sometimes illegal stuff happens in our current PM system. A big drawback of this PM system was that there wasn't a soft delete option. I'm hoping XF will keep left PC's in its database, so admins can still check them in case of reported illegal activity that needs to be addressed.

Wow that's a really good question.

I was hoping that when I went to http://xenforo.com/community/conversations/ that I'd be able to Show All or Show Hidden, but no luck. Once you have divorced yourself from a conversation, unless you chose "Receive Updates" and unless someone else replies, you can't get back to it.

No, it is removed from the database. Leaving a conversation is deleting it - we used the term "delete" originally, but that seemed to cause a lot of confusion.

Personal conversations are not designed with admin viewing in mind.

How do you know there is "illegal stuff" going on in PMs without reading them?

We get reports from members who are asked to engage in illegal activity.
