XF 1.3 Question about installing in root directory

Question: If I have an installation of vbulletin in the root folder (public_html) and want to upgrade that board to xenforo but also have xenforo in the root folder, how can I best achieve that? I don't want to upload xenforo to the root while vbulletin is there. I imagine that would cause all kinds of issues.

Install XenForo in a directory then move both installations once you have completed the import.

I see. And is moving xenforo simply a matter of moving the files from, say, /community to root?
