XF 2.2 Question about 2-factor app setting

I have a user who changed their pw and logged in, and is being told to verify their account through the app on their phone. Does that mean they had downloaded our forum app and now they need to located it on their phone and open it for 2-step verification? Here's the settings I see in ACP:

This member is on an iPhone. 2-factor auth was enabled for their account, I'm guessing they enabled it by accident. But why would they be told to verify the account on the app when they have an iPhone?

They would have had to set up 2FA with an authenticator app. They would need to use that app to retrieve the 2FA token.

Two factor authentication apps are unrelated to PWAs.

It seems you are getting the two mixed together.
