Problem upgrading & migrating my forum

Hi people of XF

I have a problem with migration of my website.

My old forum are Beta 3 updated to Beta 4
And my new forum are a Beta 4 new installation..

so, i export this tables from my old forum

and i import to new forum,

but now have a problem, my forum haven't the old users, appears on the posts, but if i make a click in the username or if i'm on the member list, the users dont appear..


someone can helpme please?

Why have you done it in this way and exported only some of the tables?

All of the data is stored in the database except for avatars and attachments which are stored in /data and /internal-data.

Why don't you just download the upgrade package, upload it to your beta 3 installation and run the upgrade script?

I would suggest backing up your current (Beta 3?) database and then following the upgrade instructions.
That really is the best way to do it.

If you encounter errors then you can always post here, I'm sure we'll be able to resolve them.

I want to emphasize that this is not the correct way to upgrade. You should follow the normal upgrade instructions. There is no substitute for a proper upgrade.

In short, selectively copying database tables does not work. If you want to preserve the content of a particular forum then you need to do a proper upgrade of the existing database. There is no reason for creating a new database as you have done.
