XF 2.1 Posts in moderation queue are displayed in what's new list

I've had reports recently (since the update to 2.1.4 but it may well have been an issue in 2.1.3 as well) that members will see moderated posts listed as new posts but of course if they follow the link they don't see anything new.

Shouldn't posts in moderation be excluded until they are approved?

That is the behaviour in my experience.

They will only be visible in "What's new" if the user has permission to view them.

If this is consistently reproducible then we may need to do some further troubleshooting.
