well @Luke Foreman I hope you don't ignore my messages and give me a hand without have to wait to many days a reply.
if there are some extra-fee for assistance just let me know. you already have my acp and ftp access in a pm.

Thank you for providing FTP details - I have now patched the most positive ratings bug on your site. A fix will be included in 1.7.1 for others with the issue

If you replace both instances of 'trophy_points' with 'posts' in library/Dark/PostRating/EventListener.php it should solve the issue
 
I've installed the AddOn but the bar where i can rate a post doesn't show up. Strangly, if a post already has a like, that's displayed
 
Are there any new permissions, cause i haven't changed a bit (and i couldn't find new permissions).

Yes. This is very BAD. I don't want to Post Ratings replace with XenForo Like System. Both option should be active. I still can't understand why XenForo original Like System does not work after upgrade add-on?! I think so, Luke Foreman leave us forced to use this add-on. This is the matter of taste but it's not ethical... @Luke Foreman please add an option to use both the system please!

Version 1.6.0 removed the very rarely-used option to keep the legacy like bar intact, as it did not function correctly. Were you using this option on your site?

If you want to restore identical functionality on later versions of Post Ratings, simply find:

in library/Dark/PostRating/Model/Post.php and change 'false' to 'true'.

Foreman thanks but support but...

After change it "false" to "true", XenForo Like System works well but now when click to any rating, XenForo Likes (buttons and bars) hidden again. And if already liked a message, it hidden/removed after UNDOrating. Interesting. I still can't understand why you removed in 1.6? I don't use this add-on since 1.6 version you released. I until now wait for you add an option to use the both system. Now we have a large forum and there is a lot of people want more ratings in message area. It's possible to use 1.5.1 version in XenForo 1.4? I understand. Perhaps, you've made it very useful remove XF Like System but I think unfortunately very inconvenient problem, this is a very bad idea for me. I really had hopes for this add on since 1.6 version. I'd guess, if install version 1.5.1, it will not work compatible with XenForo 1.4 version. What can I do for both of the above methods? There is no reason to use 1.6 or 1.7 version yet for me...

That's exactly why the option was removed - it doesn't work. What you are seeing is exactly the same as the option in version 1.5.1

I have noted your feature request, but I would not expect it any time soon as demand for such an option is very low.

If this is not suitable, and since you are apparently not using the addon, I would be happy to offer a refund (excluding paypal fees as more than 60 days has passed)

We purchased 1.5 version. After 1.6 version released, we wanted refund fees but you didn't refund. In fact you suggested 1.5 version. This is not nice. Why I'm using this add-on without XenForo Original Like Feature? Why? You removed Original Like System and made your system. Now people uses your add-on without original likes. If they uninstall your add-on in future, where will go to ratings? Because after delete add-on, all rating will removed. Will NOT import as XenForo Original Likes. Install the add-on in 2014 year, remove the add-on in 2020 year. What will unused XENFORO ORIGINAL LIKES between the last 6 year? Answer will probably; 'nothing'...

Oh look, the description clearly states the this is a REPLACEMENT for the likes system.
Asking for a refund simply because you can't read is somewhat out of order don't you think?

Well, we purchased the add-on 2 years ago. First 1.5.x version we used in our forums. Old versions are not include (like 1.6.x) replacement XenForo Like system. Someday if you delete the add-on, you will lose all post rating likes, unlikes, etc. Then you will understand why I wanted to use both system.

I'm not sure if you are aware, but Post Ratings is built to fully incorporate the existing XF like system, even going so far as to store the 'like rating' as an actual XF like. This was an early design decision that significantly raised complexity, but allows for nicer integration with other addons and other usages of likes.

You will not lose anything if you choose to uninstall. If you disable or uninstall Post Ratings without taking any further steps, you will be left with all likes and like ratings intact, from both before and after installing Post Ratings. If you want to also convert some ratings to likes, simply follow these steps:


Convert ratings to likes: (irreversible; for permanent uninstallations)

  1. Select a rating you would like to convert to XF Likes in Options > Post Ratings > Like rating
  2. Run Recount Ratings
  3. Click cancel once it starts building the rating cache
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for all ratings you would like to convert to likes

No thanks. I will update/change 1.5 version for myself. At least I will try it.

I like this add-on and willing to buy, but i want to make sure if this add can works with Credit Premium from *******. In Credit Premium, i can set some credits to be given to user if he/she received Like/Unlike to his/her post.
Can i do the same things with Positive/Negative category? If a user give a positive rate then it means he/she is giving Like as in Xenforo, and vice versa. and by this way user will get credits for being liked.

After upgrading to Xenforo to 1.4.5 (from 1.4.3) and trying to upgrade PostRatings (to 1.7.0 from 1.6.6) afterwards, we get the following error:

Everything hangs, cron rebuild is looped and does not finish.

We're rolling back the backup to get back to 1.4.3 and upgrade PostRatings from there, but this could mean that changes in 1.4.5 prevent PostRatings from upgrading normally.
