As designed Possible bug with the editor

Using Firefox 32.0.3

I post something and then click on "Edit". On the overlay I remove all the contents of my post but then I click "Cancel". If I click on "Edit" again for the same post then the overlay is blank (the contents of my post are gone on the overlay). I need to refresh the page again in order to restore the "Edit" functionality.

Is this a bug?

It's trivial to change it, but it is basically as expected because typically overlay contents are cached.

It is possible to not cache some overlays. I'd probably say in this case, though, it is right that they are cached. If you are editing a post, and you'd like to exit the overlay and copy and paste some text on the page, for example, then you won't lose anything because it is cached.

Yup, the caching here is very much intentional.
