Looks like the kind of thing you can do with Widget Framework and other portal based add-ons.

There's lots of portal addons (XenPorta and Brogan's CTA one for example) that'll do this nicely.

If you don't need all the extra widgets, I'd maybe go for Brogan's.

The only reason I didn't suggest CTA Featured Threads is because the example had a "Recent Threads" widget. I guess you could replicate that with CTA FT but it would be a case of automatically featuring all threads in all forums, but yeah, I guess that works

Yeah, that's what I was thinking and afaik it'd work fine.

Widget Framework can duplicate that setup, which I think you already have installed @Joeychgo .
