Pluto's Fourth Moon Discovered

Hopefully, When New Horizons reaches pluto we will see some good images of the pluto system. Pity they had to launch it so fast that it's only a fly by mission like the voyager missions.

I hope so, too. I'm excited to see how they turn out. I would have liked a more in-depth mission, as well, instead of a fly-by. Oh well. I'll take what I can get.

TBH - Like yourself you take what you get. I would have preferred them to build a craft and deployed a mission plan to visit Neptune, more notably to gain more knowledge of the moon triton with it's geologically active geysers. Anyway, we should know in 2018 when New Horizon reaches pluto (I'm sure that is the year it's set to arrive). http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/newhorizons/main/index.html and some pictures taken from New Horizons when it flew passed Jupiter and it's moons. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/newhorizons/news/jupiter_images.html

Apparently, they have the discoverer of pluto ashes on board the spacecraft as tribute to Clyde W. Tombaugh

Edit: correction it arrives in 2015. I'm 3 years out. :p

Yes, I'm also very interested in Triton and the possibility of life within. Would be very awesome to have a mission to drill down into the ice and see what they find.

That's an awesome tribute to Tombaugh. (y)
