XF 1.4 Phrase error: Phrases in this language can not be modified.

i keep getting the Phrases in this language can not be modified. Please try another. error ever since the 1.4 Update....

but it works all fine on my testboard.. and I'm unsure why that is so.. and i know it not my .htaccess file i tested this and i know it not it..

Go into the languages list and click phrases on one of the languages there. You appear to have a edit language set to one that either doesn't exist or is the master language (which isn't editable outside of debug mode). Also, on the language list, make sure there's a default language selected.

That's the offender in my case too!
