  • If enabled, users will be able to toggle whether or not they're opted in to persistent alerts.

If this was enabled and users registered, and i disable it after they registered, will the users who registered prior have their settings changed? Or do I have to update it via mysql?

Hi!

Sometime in the past month, I started getting reports of users getting email after email for alerts, with no new visit to the thread. It seems like the

• Persistent Alert - Suppress Persistent Emailing
  • If enabled, users will still receive consecutive alerts but they won't receive another email until they view the thread.

setting is no longer actually suppressing persistent emails. I know this add-on hasn't been updated in a while, but wondering if maybe something is affecting it from the standard lib, or another add-on like user essentials? We run a lot of your addons, and they are all up to date

Make sure you aren't on XF2.3.11 as that version is hilariously broken with most of my add-ons, especially this one
