Basically users can feed their email damage reports from the game into the system and it builds profiles and things based on aggregate data flowing in.

This is awesome. What are you using to process the emails? (I'm assuming something homebrewed, but am really curious nonetheless. That also seems like a ton of I/O, how much RAM you got on that server?

Ya it's a custom backend. Mail servers deliver incoming emails direct to application (no need to check incoming mailbox). Servers have a ton of RAM (user for other things)... 512GB RAM per server.
