XF 2.2 Ordering stickies without addons?

Is there a way to have stickies appear in a certain order without using an addon?

I tried doing (1) (2) etc at the start of the thread title, but that didn't seem to work.

They are ordered by date and there is no other option available.

Thanks, I guess I'll just have to reverse sorting, want to remove the sequential stickies plugin if I can.

Any special reason? I'm using that one too, so if it disturbs something, that would be interesting to know.
Or is it just that you want to use as little plugins as possible?

some plugins are causing some minor problems and this was one of them.

This is for our specific setup, not a problem with the plugin for the majority of people, just giving us a lil grief.

I could, but then it would add a LOT of scrolling right? Since they are threads with multiple paragraphs. One board will be where users can advertise their own game-servers so I'd want info on the rules, template, etc.

I have a few forums with those kinds of stickies (rules or info about posting etc). As those stickies often don’t need replies, I just keep them closed and sort by changing the date.

Rules, Announcements & Fundraising

Important info for everyone

(I just moved the fundraising thread to the top)

Granted this won’t work for open threads but in many cases it’s a decent workaround.

You can change the date in database, using temporarily a date change addon or just bumping yoursel if it’s just moving one to the top.

I have the same quest. You could go into the SQL database and change the dates. Be careful in the DB, make a backup first, you can easily brick the forum.
