Luis, I'm writing this in English for anyone else who might have the same problem with email confirmation.
This worked for me.
1. In email options under "Email Transport Method" I selected "set return path with -f parameter"
Like so:

2. I also changed the CAPTCHA to "Questions and Answers" in Options > Basic Board Information.

One thing I have noticed over time: You appear to be counting the initial registration as an actual registration, rather than awaiting for the member to actually confirm the new member email (if that's the option you select). So we end up with people being listed as new members, being included in NUNS, and creating new threads and conversations (if selected) even if the member never confirms the registration. Since we've lately seen an upsurge in spam registrations, this has become particularly annoying.

I noticed the same. Thought it was something I had done. I just uninstalled it. Great add-on, just unable to get answers with ragtek deciding to leave here.
Well ragtek is aware of situation ! It's weird username which contains numbers are not getting this notification post on profile but others seems to be fine.
None of the users I had at the time had a number in their username, and it was still random as to who got a notification and who didn't. I couldn't figure it out, saw no errors, etc.

Do you have xenporta installed ? Or Borbole's any add-on's ?
Those are main add-ons i am using atm .
This add-on would be ohso supersweet if it worked in conjunction with Social Network Authentication (Twitter, Google, VK.com) --- Any plans on it? I had a user register via Twitter earlier and NUNS didn't generate any automated thread or anything... Perhaps it would be nice to have NUNS compatible with these other registration types...? Thanks again for the share.

Did anyone resolve this scenario and move the trigger for the Add-On to occur after user email confirmation?
It also treats as a new user anyone who changes their email address and then gets an email verification. They might have been members for years, but as soon as they change their email address and the email verification is launched, NUNS activates and trates them as a new user.
I cannot confirm that. Users, who change their email address, do NOT get a NUNS message.
The last few months I have seen strange things happening with the automatic profile post feature when new members are signing up. It seems like the profile post works randomly. Some get the welcome profile post, som do not get it. Anybody else with the same symptoms?
