XF 1.5 Notice only on search result pages: search_results template restriction not working

I am trying to tell users that search isn't working correctly now. I've tried setting "Content Template is:" to search_results, but the notice doesn't show in the search results page.

Why doesn't that work? What am I not understanding?

Depending on where the search is being performed and whether results are being returned or not, that may not be the relevant template.

I would suggest just showing a general dismissible notice.

Thanks, Brogan. I am pretty good at showing a general notice, but really am bothered that I can't figure out how to do a targeted one.

I can edit that search_results template and see the page has changed, so that template is definitely being used. Hopefully, somebody else can knows.
