It not stable yet. Version i have even not allow to edit nodes.

Sorry, but what is broken on screenshot?
Icons still fontawesome. Icons style changed long ago, after fontawesome update to version 5
If you need, on node settings you can set modifier of icon style, like far or fas together with icon class

Xenforo now has font awesome icons for the new different forum types in 2.2, the screenshot above is default Xenforo and not your plugin.

Basically 2.2 breaks your plugin because of changes made in 2.2

It appears that the TH Nodes add-on already allows you to apple a custom icon:

• Set a custom read/unread icon for each forum

Either way you can still try this add-on out, if it doesn't work as expected just disable and delete. At worst it'll mess up your forum layout for a minute when enabled.

I don't think TH nodes supports png files. Which I'm looking for.
