On the main forum we have New (Unread) posts. Is there something similar in the media gallery so that mods can see pics that have had recent posts on them and not see them again until a new post is put on?

The New Media page lists media that is new, plus indicates media that has been commented on.

If a media has had a new comment (rather than being newly added) then it will have a "New" label in the bottom left corner.

Is there a way to mark as seen without actually clicking on each one and back to new media to clear them?

Yes, click the "Mark Media Viewed" link in the navigation tab links.

Hmmmmm just done that, is there any way you can just do a page at a time, it has cleared the lot?

It only does them all. Probably best to only do it when you're finished going through all of the pages.
