My forum users have always been confused by the fact that you first have to go to a forum before you see the post new thread option.
As a result of that I've used various hacks on my vb forum to have a "global" new thread option, which in turn gives options of what forum they want to post in and so on.
Hence from a usability point of view I think it would be great to have an obvious "post new thread" option visible on the main menu.
What do others think?
On reflection if we have options to edit the menu, then I suppose we could do it ourselves, but it would be nice to have it there by default.
