Implemented New Resources tab on find-new

I would like to see a 'New Resources' tab on the new posts page, similar to the 'new profile posts' tab. This tab should show all new/unread resources and include updated resources. Basically the same approach as new posts.
There should be a clear indicator if a resource is new or updated.
Now that 'new profile fields' tab is implemented it seems counter-intuitive to have a 'new resources' tab missing.

Mods: there is a related but different suggestion here: New Updates. That suggestion requests only updates (not new resources) to be placed in new posts.

is there a "New Resources" widget for [bd]Widget Framework ?
Since all new Resources have a thread ... that might be an easy way to accomplish this.
