Click into the editor box, to reply, or to make a new thread.

Then click outside the box and back in, a new line will be added each time.

A new line is also added if you click the grey background also. Maybe related, but clicking the grey background, and then back into the editor box makes it grow even faster

Seems fine on IE10. I'm clicking inside and outside the editor window (I've tried anywhere else but inside the window) alternately, and it remains the same size.

Does the post size matter? Can it be a single line, or does it have to fill the entire editor window first before it automatically grows?

BTW, didn't know anyone still used IE8. Haven't tested on IE9--can't recall if any of the computers here are still using IE9 or not.

This happens on Chrome for me as well. In chrome it happens when you click in and out or if you just start typing.

Its not consistently reproducable, but I too have reproduced this issue.

That's because you caught it as I was loading a fix.

I'm experimenting with a different approach to some of these height calculations in general which, if it works without other side effects, will fix several issues.

So, consider this fixed but hopefully we won't have other issues.
