Need some opinions

So I'm hoping to get people's opinions on these two images. Try to ignore to the best of your ability, the center animal image and the backgrounds as those will be replaced.

Basically, which do you prefer? Top or Bottom.

I really like the texture of the bottom image. If me, I'd use this if this is being applied on the body as a background.

As an update I have the final design now, thanks to everyone's help!

It's really awesome. I think it will be better to increase the brightness level.

Here's one a little brighter. Overall the concept is done and final thankfully. Getting the logo right was a big part of things and now that's a weight lifted and I can move on to trying to get the forum right... another weight.
