XF 1.4 Moved Posts

I moved a post (actually, more than one post) to another forum - one not accessible to the author of the post(s).

On this user's profile page, under Postings, the moved post appears with the correct destination forum, but when I click on the thread title, it takes me to the thread of which the post no longer exists.

Is this behaviour expected?

That's not expected and I don't see why it would generally happen. However, if you hit the URL before (recently), it's possible your browser has cached the result of the redirect.
