Moderator Evaluation System

Sometimes we need a way to evaluate the activities of moderators to decide if they are still contributing enough to the forum or it is time to free them up.

An over all moderation point system as well as score card for individual moderation task will be very helpful. There might be varying points on activities like, correcting titles, merging thread, moving threads, correcting spellings and what not.

A great idea but a lot of what a moderator does isn't as quantifiable.

Some prefer to have a quiet word rather than waving a ban stick around and can be just as valuable if not more so. It would really help to evaluate how the moderator tools are being used though.

It's often very hard to make an objective decision wheather the moderator is still contributing or not. This is a great idea at least it would give a better opinion when it comes to make a decision.

Evaluation based on how many threads the moderator has moderated, replied to unanswered threads (first or second response)

True.
But the goal is a little easier.
This could be designed to give some objective proof that Moderators have stopped moderating.
You are mostly trying to give some data to trim off the bottom 25% of the moderators.

Time logged in, Number of Thread Views, Number of PMs, Number of members in the last three months that have given a Like to the mod, etc. etc. Lots of different measures could work.
