mod_pagespeed is an apache module being pimped by google.
from what i am reading, it seems to function similarly to mod_rewrite, but concerns its self with optimisation tasks such as js/css minification, combining multiple css files into one, etc.
has anyone run this with xf?

Not with XF. When I was optimising my server one of guys over at IPS said he'd tried it out on their server and didn't rate it - so I never bothered trying it out.

Id' be interested too if anyone is using it with XF and what their findings are?

<body><p>We tested it, and as with many other people, found that it wasn't that beneficial, and RAM usage was higher.
