Here is whats to come in the next release of the micro downloads system.
the tabs in the view thread will only show if there is a file attached to it if there is not it will not show these tabs.

Hello Michael, does the ability to add a download to a file stored externally exist in this new version? Was looking at the images and could not see that option.

I'm also not sure I understand how users are able to download. You mentioned earlier that it is subscription based....Is there any way I can just allow everyone in the registered users group to download what they want?

i said you could use it as a subscription base downloads system.
when an admin uploads a file within the admincp they can choose the usergroups who can download these files.
When yours upload files on your site these will be avalible to everyone.
The admin can choose to let everyone download the files if they so choose to.

I will be adding in the option to place a url to a file in next release.

the paid version has so much more than the free version.
just take alook on my site www.xfgeek.com and you will see there is a big diffarence from the free one here and the commercial version.

The free version is a lite version of the commercial version.

Can you list feature differences? I can't tell by looking at that link what is better or different between paid and free version. Not trying to be a pain in the ass, I am trying to figure out why I should buy....I am ready to buy shortly, but only if I understand the difference.

Says in the instructions:
or you can CHMOD the hole folder
mcdownloads/kcfinder

I don't see "kcfinder" folder. Is this supposed to be ckeditor?

Is the download complete? I just saw this in the install instructions: CHMOD 777 mcdownloads/downloads....
but I see no /downloads folder in the download.
Am I missing something?

Hold on...I think I got it...the folder structure laid out in the download is a little confusing imho....but I think I see what happened.

Throwing this error:

..../site/library/MicroDownloads/ControllerPublic/index.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.
