Thanks! Installed!
It's working for me, but is there currently a way to delete old alerts (i.e. if someone hasn't seen it, for it to expire after x days or by manual deletion)?
That's why I asked if there was currently a way to do so...guess so! For some reason, it seemed like there was an admin option to delete them...I might be insanedoesn't this already exist? There is a cron job which does this after ?7 days if I am not mistaken.
One request, should you ever upgrade it again: Any way to set it so that certain user groups could use it (i.e. my actual Game Managers). It'd be nice to let the RPG leaders alert their writers without giving them carte blanche to the Admin CP
there is no provision for adding a link or selecting the usergroup.
imo, these alerts shouldnt occur so frequently that one needs to send them from outside the acp.
Q: Would it be a good idea to be able to send a "Mass Alert" ... to all people currently online ?
A business site might have "instant specials". Everyone online can get 15% off if they purchase in the next 30 minutes.
There could be many uses.

You need to upload the files before importing the addon xml
They are uploaded. Uploaded files, then imported. Very weird.
any chance the files got uploaded to the wrong directory? It happened to me once and caused a lot of confusion.
