MassAlert - Send custom alerts to groups of users

any recent feedback on this add-on? I'd like to get it but very I am interested to know if it is stable and working.

Technically my dev site is up in that XF RC3 is installed but that's it. No add-ons, no data, etc. Later this week a friend will show me how to restore my live site data to the dev site, then I can use it for testing. Even so, I thought I would ask the community for feedback from their experience. Live feedback from a few weeks of actual usage is better then anything I can hope to gain from a couple hours in a test environment.

its stable, but kier was saying somewhere that something like this could have a bad effect on the db if unread message alerts pile up on inactive members.
di indicated he was thinking to create a cronjob or whatnot to clear those out in an upcoming release, but i dont think thats happened.
outside of that it is great. its stable and all. i suppose all is fine if used in moderation.

Changelog:

0.1.0 (04/01/2010):

  • Added seperate table for massalerts rather than redundantly storing them in the alerts table
  • Added cron to delete unread alerts after a week
  • Fixed install bug

Works great.
Senario, I post a mass alert then decide to edit or delete is this possible?

If you're comfortable working with the database, you can edit records in the dark_massalert table. Deleting them will probably give you blank alerts, but it's not something I've tried.

Shure happy to do that if it's a major
