As designed Marking a forum read also marks children forums read

I am not sure if this is intended behavior or a bug but though I might as well report it.

I'm pretty sure this is the intended behaviour, as it makes sense no to me that you could have a read parent with unread children, but I'll wait for Mike to concur.

If I may say so, I do think this would be intended behavior as anything different just doesn't make sense.

I have thought about this and as far as I recall this is the behavior commonly found in forum software.

However if this were to change in XF, perhaps a small checkbox/option within the popup to also mark the children as read could be implemented? It would only show up if the forum you're trying to mark read also has sub-forums in it.
