Hi,

When using Mac's built-in emojis for coffee emoji, you don't get this :coffee:, but this ☕️.

As you can see, when posted or viewed as a preview the coffee emoji entered from Mac's emoji menu is replaced with JoyPixels emoji, but with added rectangle.

Below is a screenshot of what I actually see before posting it:

I have Emoji by JoyPixels enabled.

What do you mean "with added rectangle"?

There's no "added rectangle" I can see here.

I see a JoyPixel emoji next to the native macOS emoji.

If you're expecting us to replace the native macOS emoji with the JoyPixel replacement while typing this is just simply not something we're aiming to do. The emoji is replaced at render time.

I don't see that extra rectangle on my macbook:

Chrome is just updating, but current version:

Using macOS 12.2.1, and I can see this in Safari on iMac and MacBook Air. In Firefox, it's ok. I also got reports this happens on Brave browser too.

I'm on macOS 12.2.1 and don't see the issue in Brave browser either. EDIT:

Confirmed in Safari

I can see it in the latest Safari on 12.2.1 but not in Safari Tech Preview 140 or 141.

I think we can call this a browser issue for now that looks like it may get resolved imminently.

I'm getting it with OS 12.2 on iMac Pro 2017 safari is 15.3 ☕

I just noticed a Monterey update, I'll try that and see what happens
