In Europe?
Why would you think getting a server in Europe isn't possible?

I have two clients that live in the US and Canada that have servers in Europe. Their primary target is the European market so it makes sense for their servers to be there.

I don't think it's impossible, I just think their support stinks for customers outside Europe. It took 10 days to approve my account (after I sent an ID and a bill on my name), then it took 7 days to receive another IP.

They answered twice a week over the email, and their responses were very vague (e.g "please wait more").
At the same time people who live in Europe had no problems to order services. Anyway, I wouldn't put any of my websites there since their support is so horrible = loss of revenue on my side. I pay much more currently, but it works and I get support immediately when needed.

I guess that would depend on the host. I know for a fact both servers for my clients were ready for use in less than 24 hours. It took me more time to get around to installing the OS than it did for them to make the servers available. And when the raid monitor told me there was a bad drive in the array on one server, the drive was replaced within an hour after sending a support email.

Maybe that's not as common as I think. ;)

On the new sys server I ordered 16 new IPs and paid $48 and a block of 16 IPs was allocated after about 4-5 days and after a week I received an email saying your request for canceling the IPs has been completed and I checked my account and the IPs were gone :) The $48 was also refunded. I had no clue what was going on and then I found out they were having trouble with their IP allocation thinggy so I waited another week and ordered 8ips again and got them, its been a week and they are still with me. I will wait another week or so before I use the IPs.

Other then this I have never had any trouble atall. My server was delivered in like 10 mins.

I have mine through Quadranet

Dual E5-2620
64 GB RAM
4x 1TB drives

I have the box at Softlayer, though we go through 100TB for purchasing as they have vastly cheaper prices. About 50% off SL direct prices in our case, plus more bandwidth.

What kind of traffic do you get again. I forgot.

Oooo for resale. I need to know how much RAM I need to host a Xenforo forum with 13K visits per month. Anyone got an idea? XF 1.4.1

Also would I need SSD's or is SATA just fine?
