lol ... loving the snow on the forum links :)

I have another reason to not like the new snow headers... that damn red Santa hat!

Every time I see it I think "yay! I have an alert/message!" Its become Pavlovian. I LOVE seeing that little red marker out of the corner of my eye... But this damn Santa hat keeps ****ing with me!

It never occurred to me that the design I crafted out would have been mistaken for an alert balloon. I'll be sure to leave the same constructive feedback in return.

We know you don't like it, but at least before knocking peoples work ensure that you can take the same feedback back. :)

edit: I am open to criticism btw but mistaken the hat for an alert is redonkulous.

Lol, this reminds me of that South Park episode when they keep removing christmas stuff until everyone 's 'happy'. In the end christmas sucks and everyone hates it. Moral of the story: do not listen to the haters ;)

The santa hat is ok, as it's wayyyyyyyyyyyy over to the right. Now if it was closer to the Inbox and Alerts links, then I would have a problem with it.

Where's my menorah?! :(

Ya know how I said I didn't like the snow because it cuts off half the clickable area to the header bar...

Well its even worse on cellphones... the header bar links are pretty much unclickable. I pretty much can't browse XenForo on my phone anymore... Zooming in and out just to click a damn header link is unacceptable to me.

Really? I'm on my cell at work, and not having any problem with them at all. :(

Men react to red.

LOL I opened this post to say the same thing about the red santa hat being mistaken for an alert. I think the reason for that is that the red, even though really small, gets your attention faster in all the blue and because of it's location you think you have a new alert for a second :D

But by now I'm used to it though.

Nice job on the graphics :)

Just visited the forums on my iphone and it doesn't seem to make much difference. The buttons were small before and needed zooming for accurate clicking anyway. But strangely enough on the iphone the snow has less (I think zero) effect on it than on the Mac. My finger seems to be thick enough to just ignore the snow, while my mouse pointer isn't.

I'm not trying to say you're wrong, just giving my honest opinion here.

I've since reduced the height of the snow layer and optimised the sizes so they'll be an update for easier navigation. With regards to the nav tab text and getting to them they won't feel has hindered.

On mobile devices, regardless whether the snow layers are there or not you still have to zoom into the nav links to select the correct one.

All of ya'all saying the santa head looks like the alerts button are weird. And that's after careful research conducted by yours truly.

First, earlier today at work, in a completely sober state, and now again, at home, in a less than sober state. Oh, and my eyesight is not quite what it used to be, either (no fault of the beer).

MUCH better Shelley, thank you. :)
