XF 2.0 Links to old vB3.8.1 user album images not working

So when I upgraded from vB3.8.1 to XF2, did I just lose all the user album images?

For instance, a user had this in his post from pre-upgrade,

Now it is a non working link. There are a LOT of threads with these kinds of links in them. I still have the pre-upgrade database and all the associated files. Is there a way to make these old links still work?

The core importer won't import albums as XF doesn't have an equivalent, so there wouldn't be a way within XF to make those links work.

XFMG does support album importing, though at the time, this is a XF 1.x importer only. (There may need to be some custom work to handle redirects from these URLs if that path were taken, as our redirect scripts don't cover those URLs.)
