Link Checker by AddonsLab [Paid] 1.17.0

No permission to buy ($54.99)
We are enhancing the product with server load detection functionality and an option to define the levels of server load, which should make the product to delay any checks until the server load is back to normal. To help with identifying the server load appropriate for your server, the current server load will be constantly shown on top of Batch Update and Rebuild Data pages with the value of the option.

We will release the enhancement soon.

Thank you!

AddonsLab updated Link Checker by AddonsLab with a new update entry:

Performance fixes and improvements

This version improves product's performance significantly.

In one of the recent versions, we have implemented cleaning up the database from URLs, that are not used in any post. The query checking for such links was missing an index and was executing slower than in should. This process was called on Batch Update page, every time a batch of links is processed. This caused Batch Update page not to respond and increase server load. Now the cleanup process is optimized and runs almost...

Please visit Batch Update or Rebuild Data page and see server load information there and copy it here. If server load is high, configure the product to disable the checks under high server loads and it should solve the problem.

Thank you!

No high server load. Its issue from add-ons. Disabling add-on then all are working without any issue.

I see. Can you please visit your site as a guest, and see if the site is still slow? I have reproduced a case of slowness not directly related to our add-on, but caused by large moderation queue. When a moderator visits the site, and there are many items in the moderation queue, the site will be slow. This would be the case if there would be many posts or threads in moderation queue as well. So, if you notice large number of items in the moderation queue, and if the user reporting is a moderator/admin, this is the most likely cause of the issue. Here is a query you can execute to remove invalid links from moderation queue:

SQL:
delete from `xf_moderation_queue`
where content_type='allm_tag'

We will implement the option to disable the moderation queue altogether soon.

Please let us know how it worked for you.

Thank you!

if the user reporting is a moderator/admin

Yes moderator/admin user but this user does not have usergroup permission "Moderate Dead Links" then how this user getting moderation queue ? OK we are wait for option to disable the moderation queue. Please make this as soon as you can. Please note, manually I am not run the query at this moment because I am not home.

The items are added to the queue anyway, and moderatos see them based on their permissions, but they are still in the database.

We are implementing the optimization right now.

Thank you!

Great, Why Cancel button in server load info? What the info There are 3146 delayed links to check?

NOXFPOYmQgG2gOi2FLLDDQ.png

Cancel button should not be there of course. We will remove it.

Delayed link checks are for links, which give response "429 Too Many Requests", which means there were too many requests to the same server. The links will be re-checked after some time interval until the check passes.

AddonsLab updated Link Checker by AddonsLab with a new update entry:

New options to disable moderation queue and alert features

This version implements options to disable Moderation Queue and Alert features implemented. Moderation Queue should be disabled before large checks, as it may cause thousands of entries to be added to the queue, which may make the site slower for visiting moderators.

We have also fixed a bug when Cancel button was showing for server load information message.

The new version is available for all licensed customers at

@AddonsLab This issue still are not fixed with Disable Moderation Queue, Still showing Moderation Queue. What does when permission set Moderate Dead Links to Allow and Disable Moderation Queue set Yes?

Moderation queue disable option prevents new moderation entries from being created. The older ones are kept in the database anyway. Considering your situation, we made it so, that saving options page will delete the dead links from the moderation queue.

So, just download the latest version of the file you can find on our board (it is called [AddonsLab] Link Checker 1.7.6 - v99) and re-upload files and re-import the XML. After that, go to Options page and make sure you have checked the option and "Disable Moderation Queue" and save it again. This will delete the current moderation queue entries as well.

Moderation queue is not per-user, it is one for all mods and admins, so when you disable it, so if moderation queue is disabled, permissions do not matter, no one will see any moderation queue entry.

Thank you!

Got an error with the dead link check (cron job, default settings, all tags). Cron job stopped after the error, had to activate again.
