Like thread on subforum view

In a specific section of my forum, I'd like to offer a more obvious (for lack of a better term) way to like a thread--in this case, threads that are for songs on my station. If possible, I'd like to add a heart image (the one shown was a rough one I found online ) next to each song title in the thread list. The image would change (i.e. heart would be red) depending on whether or not the first post in the thread had been liked by the user, just the same way that threads display Like/Unlike depending on the post's like status. Knowing my luck, it's probably more complicated than I imagine, but presuming it isn't, what modifications would I need to make to do that?

(Of course, the issue would arise that I can't like my own threads, but I suppose I could just not use it myself, hehe. )

You can't do that with just a template edit. You need a proper addon. If you are a programmer then you can post in the Development Questions forum for help with this. Or post an Add-on Request and some one may be able to write this for you.

Does it need to be on the thread list template, or would a own page do it also?
Like this: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/ragtek-suggestions-overview-temponary-name.10700/ but with an other image?

I'm actually working on a separate page that will list all of the songs in that forum, so that (with some modifications) would work, yes.
