XF 2.2 Latest Articles in 2.2 on the homepage. How?

Hello,

Is there a way in XF 2.2 to get Articles to appear on the homepage as a separate category, the way Latest Resources is? Right now it's grouped under Latest Posts but we would like the articles to stand out on the homepage.

We're on cloud and will be updated to XF 2.3 in January 2025, which is fine (no complaints whatsoever). But it would be so nice if we could make an Articles widget for the homepage right now. Is it possible?

You can create a node page, then you populate it with articles widget (featured or trending or both). Then you set the page node URL as your homepage in ACP > Setup > Basic settings.

Or you can just set your articles forum URL as your homepage…

I use the bassman enhanced search forum widget to present featured articles with preview in a slider on the homepage, but can also show as grid.

In my case I make the search forum based on tags so I can easily choose which articles to feature in the slider.

Yes, that's what I did for the homepage itself. But I set Articles up as a forum, so there's no html field. And there's no widget.

Well, that's a thought, but not really an option. I would loose all other content, wouldn't I?

So, I decided to get Bassman's add-on. I register, go to checkout to pay for my purchase and then I have to fill in some form? When I click on the FAQ link to find out why, it tells me I have no permission to go there. And the FAQ in the top menu is empty. WTH?

The XF token is requested to prove that you own a legitimate site.

Many developers require this information because they do not wish to sell to nulled or illegal sites. It's perfectly safe to give the dev. your token. That is what it is for.
