I'd like to ask about the best way to go about adding to the ribbon. Not sure if that's what it's called, but it's at the top where you'll find Members, Media, What's New, and Forums. On some other forums, I've seen other things there. Here's my questions:
1. I want to a tab simply called "Articles" where I could post articles with included pics. This would be in a blog article format, and wouldn't look like the standard forum thread. People could simply scroll through the articles and see which ones they wanted to read. I've seen this before, is this an addon that I would need to install?
2. Another tab called "Free book" where I give away a book that I wrote. I never ended up selling it on Amazon or anything, so why not use it as a promotional? But I'd just want it to be a very simple way to download the book. Maybe just a big download button right below the cover art. Ideally it wouldn't need to take you to another page, away from the forums. Clicking on the tab would just give a small popup, like when you click on the arrow next to the "Members" tab. Is there any easy way to do this?
