So basically,
my admin account, ive always logged in with the saved password from chrome. today it's not logging in, kinda has me worried i've been hacked or something.

anyway, i try to reset it. But I don't get the email, because my hosting provider thought i was sending out spam because of the bulk amounts of emails my forums sends.

Managed to log into roundcube from cpanel, welp, found the mail failed email for my password recovery attempt. Pasted the link into the browser. Link doesn't even work.

Just says error that page doesn't exist or something. Anyway i managed to remove /forums/ from the link and it actually landed on the password reset page. However it just says, your password could not be reset. with no reason or explanation.

What now?

The forgot password link expires after some amount of time, you could try resending it. Alternatively you can try to create a new account, make it an admin with a query and config.php edit and reset the original admin password from that account, and then delete it. To fix the forgot password link having the /forums/ in it you'll just need to update your board URL in basic board information
